Thank you for joining me today! Raining Gems started as a creative outlet, when all others were quickly drying up in my work. Little did I know that by signing up for a basic beading class, I could get into so much trouble! I can honestly tell you now that beading and creating jewelry has become my obsession.
You'll notice my site is under some minor construction still. But my friends have harrassed me enough that I have got this up and working! No excuses now. You can buy from me now, and I will continue to add more descriptive descriptions as I have time. You wouldn't want me to stop making jewelry would you?? :)
I cannot say that I have developed any one style as of yet. My taste seems to run from vintage flair with unique beads and brass stamping focals, to stark modern with my current favorite stone, LAVA! I was asked recently, "Why Lava?" My response? "WHY NOT???" I do love an interesting rock, and believe strongly that a rocks best friend is a beautiful crystal!
In my work I have become very choosy about the materials I use. You will find sterling silver, gold filled and copper metals. You will also fine genuine freshwater cultured pearls of incredible quality, fabulous gemstones, and beautiful Swarovski Crystals.
While I always hope that my varied style means that everyone will have the opportunity to find something they can't live without, I do understand things like metal allergies, color preferences, and needing just the right thing for a special someone. I have hypo-allergenic earwires that can be switch on any pair of earrings. While all my designs are original, I can recreate the design idea or feel in a different color scheme. And finally, I absolutely do special orders.
